The Mono Jacks

The Mono Jacks is a four-piece hailing from Bucharest, Romania whose visceral, indie-inflected wall of sound immediately brings to mind Interpol, Editors and White Lies.

From the very first show in late 2008, the band decimated expectations and became immediately one of the most acclaimed new Romanian acts.

Started by Doru Trascau (guitar/vox), a veteran of the local alternative rock movement, the band is made up of Dorian Cazacu (drums), Florin Vasile (guitar/back-vox) and Alex Voicu (bass).
Their seductive, incendiary post-rock rythms with visible traces of '90s alternative and the band's contagious live chemistry are responsible for some of the best concerts on Bucharest's music scene and for topping the alternative charts with their debut single, ‘Maria’ in the summer of 2010.

About Pretty Reckless...my love

One night several years ago, Taylor Momsen’s father took his daughter to a White Stripes show. “Before that, the only concert I’d been to was Britney Spears,” says the singer, songwriter, and guitarist. “But once I saw Jack White onstage, that was it. I grew up as a dancer and I thought you had to dance to be a girl in the music industry. Then I saw the White Stripes and I was like, ‘No, you don’t. I can do that.’” Momsen was nine.

Jack White’s raw power and deceptively simple guitar-and-vocal attack proved to be highly influential on the now 16-year-old Momsen, who began humming melodies before she could talk and writing songs at the age of five after falling in love with The Beatles. “I was obsessed with them,” she says. “I also loved Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Audioslave, Soundgarden, Oasis, and Nirvana. That’s what I listened to. My rock idols are all men.” The songs, all written by Momsen and Ben Phillips with their producer Kato Khandwala, run the gamut of emotions, alternating at times between seething rage and a bruised vulnerability. The songs tackle everything from romantic insecurity (the full-throttle rager “Make Me Wanna Die,” which also appears on the soundtrack to the film Kick-Ass), to despair (“You”), to how working non-stop can you make you feel like one of the un-dead (“Zombie”). Momsen pushes back against the haters on “Light Me Up” and asks how far you have to go to get forgiveness on “Going Down.” With her growly, world-weary alto, Momsen can do it all: garage-rock rave-ups (“Miss Nothing”), punchy blues-rock stompers (“My Medicine,” “Since You’re Gone”), as well as emotional power ballads (“Just Tonight”) and lovely acoustic guitar and string-driven numbers (“You”). <3

Reflections of a skyline

Un scurt metraj care ne arata in 6 minute toate lucrurile care le fac oamenii din iubire..GENIAL ! Voi posta si textul...:)

"And I want to play hide and seek, give you my clothes, tell you I love you shoes, sit on the steps when you take a bath, and massage your neck. And kiss your face, hold your hand, and go for a walk. Not mind when you eat my food, and meet you at Rudy's and talk about the day. Talk about your day and laugh at your, your paranoia. I give you tapes you don't even listen to, watch great films, watch terrible films. And tell you about the tv-program I saw the night before and not laugh at your jokes. I want you in the morning, but let you sleep for a while. Tell you how much I love your eyes, your lips, your hair, your neck. Sit on the steps, thinking, 'till your neighbours come home. Sit on the steps 'till you come home. Worry when you're late, and be amazed when you're early. I'd give you sunflowers and go to your party and dance. Be sorry when I'm worried and happy when you forgive me. Look at your photos and wish I'd known you forever. Hearing your voice in my ear, feel your skin on my skin, and get scared when you're angry. I tell you you're beautiful, hold you when you're anxious, hold you when you're hurt, want you when I smell you, offend you when I touch you and whimper when I'm next to you. Whimper when I'm not. Smother you in the night and get cold when you take the blanket and hot when you don't. Melt when you smile, dissolve when you laugh. But not understand how you think I'm rejecting you when I'm not rejecting you, and wonder how you could ever think I'm rejecting you. And wonder who you are, but I accept you anyway. And tell you about the tree angel, the enchanted forest boy who flew across the whole ocean just because he loved you. I'd buy you presents you don't want and take them away again. And ask you to marry me, and you say no again but I keep on asking because though you think I don't mean it but I always have from the first time I asked you. I wander the city thinking. It's empty without you but I want what you want and think. I'm losing myself. But I'll tell you the worst of me but try to give you the best of me because you don't deserve any less. Answer your questions when I'd rather not, tell you the truth when I really don't want to, and try to be honest because I know you prefer it. And think it's all over, but hang on for just ten more minutes before you throw me out of your life. Forget who I am and let me try and get closer to you. And somehow, somehow communicate some of the overwhelming, undying, overpowering, unconditional, all-encompassing, mind-expanding, ongoing, never-ending love I have for you."

Pe scurt despre… Skins

Va invit sa vizionati serialul Skins, pentru ca aveti ce invata din el. Sincer, mie mi-a schimbat modul de a gandi.

Despartire..

Exista multe feluri in care poti sa mori , dar trebuie sa gasesti in mod in care sa traiesti ..Un scurt metraj intr-adevar reusit, ne arata lumea in care traim, tara in care traim. Nu dau detalii.. restul ramane la alegerea voastra, il vizionati sau nu.

Totuşi, haideţi să-ncercăm să nu mai căscăm!
